My background
Horses have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. In fact, horse was one of my very first words, and I started riding as soon as I turned four years old. Growing up, there was a grey horse in a field near my house that I loved to visit. From that moment on, I was fascinated by these incredible animals.
What has always drawn me to horses is their honesty. They communicate without words and reflect what is happening around them. Throughout my life, horses have been a place of comfort and stability, teaching me to listen, observe, and connect on a deeper level.
Over the past seventeen years, my passion has grown far beyond riding. Since the age of twelve, I have been actively involved in the daily care and training of horses. I have worked at riding stables, guided trail rides on Crete, and currently work as a caretaker and guide at a boarding and riding stable.
The horse that changed my path was my rescue mare named Ophelia. When I met her, she was badly underweight and reacted aggressively towards both people and horses. With time, patience, and understanding, she became one of the sweetest horses I have ever known. She taught me that behaviour often has an underlying cause and inspired me to learn how to help horses feel better both physically and mentally.
That experience led me to study complementary horse rehabilitation therapy.
Through Equinómas, my goal is to support horses through gentle, individualised care that focuses on long-term well-being rather than quick fixes. I believe that true change comes from understanding the horse as a whole and helping them move, feel, and function at its best.

Education &
Experience
Hippo Sofia Academy – Education
During my studies at HSA, I am learning everything about the rehabilitation process for horses. This is an essential part of recovery after an injury or surgery, but it is also highly relevant in daily care, helping horses regain optimal condition safely and gradually. The program covers a wide range of therapies, techniques, and methods, always tailored to the specific needs of each individual horse. In addition, I receive a thorough medical education about the horse, enabling me to guide the recovery process responsibly and professionally.
